RYAN STRATTON (Walking
Concert) & FELIX GEBHARD (Home of the Lame)
Felix
Gebhard, Sänger und Songwriter von Home Of The Lame, nutzt die
derzeitige Eingebundenheit seiner Bandmitglieder in andere Projekte,
um sich auf seine Wurzeln zurückzubesinnen und auf eine kleine
Solo-Akustiktour zu gehen. Dabei wird er sowohl alte und neue Home
Of The Lame-Songs spielen, als auch die Stücke der im Februar 2009
aufgenommenen Solo-Akustik-EP “Exit Felix Gebhard“.
Ryan Stratton, ehemaliger Bassist der New Yorker Band Walking
Concert um Walter Schreifels wird die andere Hälfte des
Abendprogrammes füllen. Aufgewachsen in der Indierock-Oase
Louisville, Kentucky, zog Stratton in den späten 90er Jahren nach
New York City, wo er an der School Of Visual Arts studierte, eine
Karriere als Designer von Damenunterwäsche startete, währenddessen
in zahlreichen Bands spielte und parallel seine eigene Stimme als
Songwriter entwickelte.
Die Abende dieser Tour werden eher ruhig und “akustisch“
ausfallen, wobei noch nicht absehbar ist, was auf den Proben vor dem
ersten Konzert an gemeinsamem Programm entstehen wird. Fest steht,
dass die Beiden anlässlich dieser Tour eine limitierte Split-CD mit
je zwei unveröffentlichten Stücken herausbringen, die auf den
Konzerten erhältlich sein wird.

Texas Is The Reason, Solea
Atlantic/Pacific, creation of Garrett Klahn and John Herguth is a
free
form, acoustic, electric, studio, and live experience. Conceived in
the
summer of 2008 the project started as an acoustic duo deep in the
heart
of Brooklyn. Its roots stretching as far back to the days of Texas
is
the Reason when the two agreed to someday do 'something'. With an
impromptu rehearsal and a shared desire to get back on the road, the
stage was set and the first tour booked. Atlantic/Pacific embarked
on
their first tour in the winter of 2008.
Spring 2009, back in the US, and with the help of Ian Love, the
beginnings of a debut album are beginning to emerge.
Atlantic/Pacific
continues to shape their sound, at times borrowing from shoegaze of
the
90's and at times drifting in and out of folk landscapes of all
decades.
Plans spring eternal for now, a new tour is booked and recording
continues through the summer. Atlantic/Pacific is in motion and
chances
are the tide will find its way to you sometime soon.
